Reasons Why Firefox Mozilla Outweighs the Other Web Browsers

By Fernando Esteve

Firefox was launched as the battling sword of Mozilla against the various web browsers and more specifically Internet Explorer by Microsoft. Internet Explorer of Microsoft enjoyed the monopoly in the browser market for many years until Firefox was launched, and now Internet Explorer has to even share a major chunk of its market value with Firefox. So what makes Firefox unanimously acceptable over internet explorer or any other web browser?

Firstly it allows tabbed browsing. This is of tremendous help to someone who wants to exploit every minute of using the internet and it is also much neater and easier to view 10 tabs in a single window instead of viewing 10 different windows! Firefox works equally efficiently on different operating systems like Windows, UNIX, Linux and BSD. Another added feature in Firefox is that it has a built-in download manager. With this feature you can pause, resume or stop a downloading process as and when you like.

Firefox also provides extensive page-control. You can block ads, pop-ups, images, etc. you can also toggle with the font type and color of the websites. Firefox also provides a unique search bar with which you can search on a minimum of 10 different search engines just with the click of a button. This browser also aids in spell-check which is vital for blogging and supports online form filling; this feature is absent in internet explorer.

Apart from all this, the most satisfying and convincing benefit is that Firefox provides security on net like no other web browser. Microsoft Internet Explorer has been exploited number of times by various security threats like Spyware or any other perilous installations. Mozilla Firefox blocks such installations and is less susceptible to security breaches. The reason for this is that Firefox uses a completely different technique for security. It does not depend on any security zones or digital signatures, etc. It also does not have the ActiveX component which is used by many websites to automatically install malicious content on you computer by executing some destructive scripts.

Firefox is a completely open source project. Therefore coders can manipulate the code to add new extensions, plug-ins, bug fixers, or any other noted feature to suit the client requirements. You can even customize your Firefox browser by using the various available themes.

Thus for intense security on the net and for all of the above mentioned features, Mozilla Firefox certainly overshadows any other existing web browsers.

Internet Marketing - Past Present Future

By Ryan Pitylak

"Believe the hype. The Internet and the World Wide Web have become the most important new communication media since television, and ones that are fundamentally reshaping contemporary understanding of sales and marketing." - Jim Sterne. During the last part of the 1990s, the Internet boom saw all kinds of brand new companies that were developing services and products that literally capitalized on the Internet's potential.

Unfortunately, the push-to-market often resulted in very poor planning and many business models failed to include realistic and profitable business objectives. When the year 2000 ended, many of the above mentioned companies closed their doors. After this black period, the surviving and the new opened companies realized that the web-based strategies and techniques must be taken into consideration just like any other classic marketing tools.

In the future, websites will be more personalized, as they will cater to consumers and niche markets. Internet marketing through audio newsletters will probably become a more accessible tool for targeted audiences. Other predictions made by experts regarding the future of Internet Marketing are:

• 50% of experts affirm that anonymous, free, music file sharing on P2P (peer-to-peer) networks will still be easy to perform a decade from now

• 59 % of experts agreed with a prediction that more and more business and government surveillance will occur as computing devices proliferate and become embedded in appliances, phones, clothes and cars

• 56% of experts agreed that as telecommuting and home-schooling expand, the boundary between leisure and work will reduce and family dynamics will change due to this reason

• 57% of experts agreed that virtual classes will become more widespread in formal education and that students might, at least occasionally, be grouped with others who share their interests and skills, rather than by age

All things considered, Internet Marketing is one of the most important aspects of the Internet world and many people are considering that this domain will have a very long future, along with the Internet. All website owners will have to take into consideration at least one Internet Marketing technique.

The PSP Guide - How To Download Music and Video's to Your PSP

By Neil Gerstein

Congratulations on buying that new PSP. You bought some great games with your new PSP and to play them, all you need do is slip a cartridge in the slot and your good to go. Sweet, isn't life great. Hey, how about playing some of your favorite songs or watching one of your music videos on your new favorite toy. Oh! Oh! The store didn't have a cartridge for that! Now what? Don't panic, just follow the step-by-step instructions below and life will be sweet again.

To download music to your PSP you will need to follow these steps.

Definitions

CD Ripper Software - Software that extracts (rips) music/mp3 files from your CD and puts them in another file on your computer's hard drive.

PSP Video Converter - Converts your personal computers (PC) video/movie format files into Sony's PSP video/movie format so that you can view them on your PSP.

USB Cable - Cable used to connect peripheral equipment such as camera's, external hard drives and PSP's to your computer's USB port.

1) Put your music CD (the one with the songs you want converted) into your PC's CD drive. Start-up your CD Ripper software or PSP Video Converter.

2) Choose the songs you want to extract to your PSP and select "Extract & Encode". This will convert the selected songs PSP format and transfer them to a file on your PC's hard drive.

3) Using the USB Cable, connect your PSP to your computer.

4) Turn on your PSP and select "USB Connection" on your PSP. Your computer will automatically detect the new USB device connected to it and designate a new drive letter, usually E:, but not always. You can check in "My Computer" to be sure.

5) Create a new Folder (name it Music or Videos) under the E: drive or whatever letter your PSP was designated. This new folder will actually be your PSP.

6) It's time to start downloading your music and/or video files from your computer to your PSP.

7) That's all there is to it. After you have downloaded all of your favorite video's and music, disconnect the USB cable and you're good to go.

How to Get Number 1 Rankings on Google, Yahoo and MSN Using Video Hosting Sites

By Jeff Mills

Proper tagging elements include coming up with a TITLE for the Video, a DESCRIPTION, and TAGS or KEYWORDS. Let me say a little about each area.

The TITLE tag is the #1 most important tag. It's the one the search engines will display in the search results. If someone searches for "free home based business dvd" in a search engine, and you are offering a free home based business dvd, you want your website to come up, as well as your video. So tag your Title well, with up to 3 phrase or keywords you are hoping to be found by. As a marketer, you can find out what are the most popular keywords by simply looking at Google's Trends website. Search for Google trends and they tell you what is hot right now in search.

The DESCRIPTION tag is the #2 most important tag. I always recommend, if you are plugging a website or are marketing something, put the URL as the first thing people see in the description slot, follow by a logical telling of what the video is about, being mindful of good keywords and phrasing. Make sure the URL begins with http:// in the front, as some movie hosting sites will turn it into an active an hyperlink, while sometimes they won't. I dunno why they work sometimes, and then not work others.

The TAGS are simply the keywords and phrases to plug your video with. Don't be stingy with your tagging. Get em all in there so you might be found, but try to be a relevant to the video and do not tag spam!

Finally - Make sure all your login and pw info is stored correctly in Tubemogul so that your videos will post correctly to the video hosting sites, and then push the button that makes this machine come alive and within hours, you'll see your videos posted in their appropriate places in your accounts. I love using tools which can easily automated task one used to have to do by themselves.

Do a quick Google search, using the title of your video and see how fast Google has indexed that video. When I did this last time, within 24 hours, I had the top 3 listings for the keywords I wanted to be found and listed with.

So, making a video or using audio and pictures to make a video is really simple. Once you have your video made, upload it to Tubemogul, tag it and post it and within hours your videos will be all over the search engines bringing you free leads and traffic daily.
